(Project Background)

My book “Schallplattennostalgie” explores the design of record covers from past decades through my family's vinyl collection. By studying typography, color, layout, imagery and materiality, I set out to uncover the design principles that give nostalgic asthetics their emotional resonance.

The outcome is a complato book that combines visual and written analyses, alongside new insights and reflections. It is accompanied by a bookmark listing the records and an insert designed as a tracklisr, presenting the identified principles in a playful and tangible way.
